Are you a history lover? On this day trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius, we'll visit the ancient city which was perfectly preserved, having been buried by the eruption of the most famous volcano in Campania.
Tour Description
We'll meet at the indicated meeting point in Sorrento at the specified time. After gathering, our day trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius will commence. Depending on availability, we'll travel by train or minibus. Get ready for an adventure where history and nature combine!
The first stop will be the Vesuvius National Park, which we'll reach by minibus. Here, we will embark on a breathtaking hiking trail. Accompanied by our guide, we'll explore the stunning landscapes of this world-renowned natural monument.
You may wonder why Vesuvius is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world? We'll explain this while admiring its impressive crater and enjoying an extraordinary panoramic view of the Gulf of Naples, from the Miseno cape to the Campanella point.
After our hike, we’ll take the minibus to the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. Here, we will visit key sites such as the forum, the baths, and the lupanar within the small streets of the archaeological site. The exceptional preservation of these areas is due to the volcanic ash!
Once the guided tour of Pompeii concludes, we will return to Sorrento by train or minibus, depending on availability, to reach the starting point and conclude our day after a total of 8 or 9 hours.

Important information
At the indicated time, please go to the Tempio Viaggi offices, located at the Sorrento Train Station (Piazza Giovanni Battista de Curtis, 11). Please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance.
Important
Please note that the journey from Sorrento to Pompeii and from Pompeii to Sorrento will be by train. Therefore, the utmost punctuality is required. Additionally, from Vesuvius Park to the archaeological park of Pompeii, the transfer will be by minibus.
Lunch
We recommend bringing a packed lunch, as this activity does not include lunch.
