Description
Join us for an engaging walking tour in Bra?ov, where we will unveil the city's most significant attractions, such as the Black Church, Catherine’s Gate, and Bra?ai Square. This exploration is not to be missed!
Tour Overview
Renowned as one of Romania's most stunning cities, Bra?ov offers a wealth of sights awaiting your discovery. We will gather in front of the Modarom building located in Revolution Square, marking the start of our complimentary walking experience through this captivating city.
Our journey commences with an immersion into the rich history of this Transylvanian gem, situated near the illustrious Bran Castle, often associated with the Dracula tale. Nestled at the base of the Carpathian Mountains, Bra?ov stands as a medieval bastion where history breathes life as we stroll through the charming streets of the Old Town.
Throughout the tour, we will come across Bra?ov’s key sights, starting with Council Square (Pia?a Sfatului), the citadel's central hub, bustling with cafés, eateries, and museums, including the History Museum and the Council House, which served as the former Town Hall.
Our next stop will feature Brassai Square and the Schei Gate, a triumphal arch dating back to the 9th century, which marked the entry to the old Romanian district.
Adjacent to this site, we will find Catherine’s Gate (Poarta Ecaterina), the oldest gate in Bra?ov, a true architectural treasure! We will also discover Rope Street, famed as Romania's narrowest street.
To conclude our exploration, we will marvel at the Black Church, a remarkable place of worship known to be the main religious center between Vienna and Istanbul, distinguished by its magnificent structure.
After a captivating journey lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes, our tour will conclude in front of this iconic church.
