Diving Initiation in Jávea
Description
For those eager to embark on their journey into scuba diving, this introductory session in Jávea serves as the perfect starting point. Participants will engage in the Discover Scuba Diving experience, recognized officially by PADI, eliminating the need for prior certification.
Activity Overview
We will gather at the designated time at our dive center situated on Arenal Beach – Canal de la Fontana. Here, an initial briefing will set the stage, followed by the provision of essential equipment, including a wetsuit, booties, fins, buoyancy control device (BCD), and regulator.
Once suited up, we will proceed to the boat that will transport us to the selected dive site for the day. Upon reaching the location, we will anchor the boat and step into the water under the guidance of your certified instructor.
The dive, lasting approximately 30 to 45 minutes, will take us to a maximum depth of 6 meters (20 ft). Following our underwater adventure, we will return to the dive center, wrapping up the activity, which spans a total of 2 to 3 hours.
Understanding Discover Scuba Diving
The primary aim of Discover Scuba Diving is not to delve into intricate theories but rather to ensure you feel at ease while enjoying the entire underwater experience, all under the vigilant supervision of a PADI instructor. The experience is structured into three key stages:
- Briefing: An accessible discussion where you'll grasp the functioning of your equipment, communication signals, safety protocols, and equalization methods for a comfortable descent.
- Controlled Environment Practice: Before entering open waters, we will perform brief exercises in a calm, shallow area. Here, you will hone your breathing, basic buoyancy skills, and mask-clearing techniques to build your confidence.
- Guided Dive: Once comfortable, we will embark on a guided exploration of the seabed in Jávea.
Essential Information
Upon completing the dive, it is advised to refrain from flying or ascending to high altitudes for at least 24 hours as a precautionary measure for your safety.
