Canoeing on the River Sella is a renowned outdoor experience in Spain. Embark on an adventure at your own pace through the stunning landscapes of the Asturian region. Are you ready to explore?

Description

We will gather at the designated time at the Plaza Venancio Pando in Arriondas and then proceed to the riverbank of the Sella. Upon arrival, a guide will provide a brief orientation session lasting approximately 15 minutes before you board the canoes. Are you prepared to navigate Spain’s most favored canoeing path?

This excursion spans four hours, during which you will paddle downstream, immersing yourself in the scenic views between Arriondas and Llovio, along with their surrounding towns. For those interested, we can enjoy a tasty picnic featuring a sandwich, a snack bar, a piece of fruit, and a bottle of water.

After the journey down the River Sella, we will return to our original meeting point.

Schedule

You can start your descent independently every 15 minutes, available from 11 am to 6 pm.

Options

When booking, select one of the following options:

Canoeing without picnic
Canoeing with a standard picnic: includes a sausage sandwich, an apple, water, and a chocolate neopolitan.
Canoeing with an Asturian picnic: includes a chorizo bun, empanada, water, an apple, and a chocolate neopolitan.

Routes

Based on your fitness level and preferences, choose one of the following routes departing from Arriondas:

7 km (4.3 miles) Route: lasting between 1 and 2 hours, this route takes you to the Nuevo Tora denomination.
12 km (7.4 miles) Route: occurring over 2.5 to 3 hours, you will paddle through the River Sella, passing Toraño and arriving at Llordón.
15 km (9.3 miles) Route: with a duration of 4.5 hours, this route follows the path from Arriondas through Toraño to Llovio, close to the Sella dock at the Ribadesella estuary.

Requirements

The minimum participant age for this activity is 6 years, and individuals must be at least 120 cm in height (3'11").

We'll meet at the time of your choice on the ground floor of number 2, Plaza Venancio Pando. We recommend arriving 10 minutes in advance.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, a hat, boots and sunscreen.

If, due to extreme weather conditions, the activity cannot take place, the activity may be reimbursed, exchanged for another of equal or higher price, or a voucher will be provided to do the activity on another day with a validity of one year.
