Arroyo Turquesa Journey
Your adventure begins with a pickup at your accommodation in Barreal at 10 am, after which we’ll embark in a 4x4 vehicle towards the Laguna Blanca shelter, approximately 50 miles away.
Upon arrival at the stunning lake, situated at an altitude of 10,100 ft, we will commence a 5-mile hike through the picturesque Andes. As we traverse these enchanting vistas, we will incorporate multiple 15-minute pauses to rest and ease the trek.
Next, we will visit the Guanaquitos Post, perched over 11,000 feet above sea level, where you can savor some local delicacies. Following our lunch break, we continue towards the renowned Arroyo Turquesa natural reserve, located nearly 13,500 feet amidst the Andean summits!
At last, we arrive at our destination! Are you curious about what gives the stream its striking hue? As we stroll along its banks, we will unveil the secrets behind this phenomenon and capture memories through photographs – an unforgettable experience! Additionally, you will have the chance to observe various essential species of local Andean flora and fauna.
After enjoying the stream, we will retrace our steps back to the starting point of our trek. There, we will reboard the jeep to make our way back to Barreal, taking in more incredible Andean scenery along the journey.
Following a brief snack break, we will drop you off at your hotel, concluding this extraordinary private tour as we approach midnight.
