Tour Overview

Our gathering will take place at Rybné námestie, adjacent to the Plague Column, where we will set the stage for our exploration. We will begin with a stroll through modern-day Old Town, gazing at the impressive SNP Bridge that stretches over the Danube river.

As we navigate our way to Bratislava Castle, which stands dominantly above the landscape, we will take a moment to appreciate its striking facade while our guide shares insights into its historical significance and the pivotal role it has played throughout time.

Our next destination will be St. Martin's Cathedral, a stunning Gothic structure that marks the city’s enhancement and its growing significance during the Middle Ages. This cathedral served as the site for the coronation of Hungarian monarchs for nearly three centuries, a remarkable aspect of its legacy.

We will then visit Michael's Tower, the last remaining gateway of the medieval city walls. Here, discussions will revolve around Bratislava's prosperity as a prominent coronation hub. With the Old Town Hall in view, we will delve into Bratislava's diverse heritage and its longstanding role as a focal point for civic engagement. Our historical journey will continue at Primate's Square, recognized as one of the most picturesque squares in the city.

After a duration of 2.5 hours, we will conclude our tour at SNP Square, a site closely associated with key events in modern Slovak history.
