Rosslyn Chapel and the Borders Day Trip
Starting from Edinburgh Castle, we head to the village of Roslin, making our first stop at Rosslyn Chapel, known as the "Library in Stone." The chapel's interior walls feature thousands of ancient carvings, each telling a unique story. Myths and legends surrounding the chapel, including those of the Knights Templar, will be explored. Rosslyn Chapel gained fame from Dan Brown's novel, "The Da Vinci Code."
Continuing into the heart of the Scottish Borders, we reach the historic town of Melrose, known as the birthplace of Rugby Sevens and home to Melrose Abbey, founded in 660 and believed to be the burial place of Robert the Bruce's heart. We will stop for lunch and offer free time to explore Melrose and its Abbey.
On the return journey, we enjoy scenic views through the Borders, with a final stop at Glenkinchie distillery. Here, learn about whisky-making history and processes on a relaxed tour, concluding with a tasting of the distillery's finest malts.
