Overview
Embark on a remarkable adventure with the Hólmavík Whale Watching tour in the breathtaking North West of Iceland. Set sail through the scenic Westfjords region, where you will have the chance to observe magnificent humpback whales and other marine wildlife in their natural habitat.
Itinerary
We'll gather at Hafnarbraut Street near the Port of Hólmavík at your selected time. Once aboard our vessel, we will journey into the North Atlantic, aiming to spot the diverse marine life that thrives along Iceland's northwest coast.
As we navigate through the Westfjords, anticipation builds and soon the first whales may make an appearance. Humpback whales, famed for their playful behavior and impressive acrobatics, are the most frequently encountered species here. Weighing up to 50 tonnes, their echolocations can be detected from as far as 100 miles (160 kilometres) away, and we'll share intriguing insights about these giants during our trip.
Keep a vigilant lookout for other species such as Minke whales, dolphins, sperm whales, killer whales, and occasionally pilot whales as we traverse the waters.
After our exploration, which lasts between 1 to 3 hours, we will return to the starting point, concluding our captivating experience on the sea.

On the day of the activity, we'll see you at the Port of Hólmavík. You'll meet the local provider at the following address: Hafnarbraut, 14. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early.
