The skies of Chile are renowned for their unparalleled clarity. Immerse yourself in the wonders of the night sky through this stargazing experience in the Elqui Valley, a truly special offering in the Coquimbo region of Chile.

Stargazing in the Elqui Valley

Your adventure begins as we collect you at your hotel in La Serena at the scheduled time. From there, we will journey into the Elqui River Valley, heading toward Vicuña.

On the outskirts of Vicuña, which is also the birthplace of the Nobel Laureate Gabriela Mistral, we will find several important astronomical sites, including the Amatista, Pangue, Mamalluca, Collowara, and Omega observatories. Depending on availability, we will have the opportunity to explore one or more of these observatories.

Upon arrival at this distinguished astronomical center, we will enjoy a brief astronomy presentation. Discover how the Elqui Valley is celebrated for having some of the clearest skies in the world. Following the presentation, we'll embark on a remarkable stargazing session. Using advanced electronic telescopes, we will marvel at the celestial heavens, spotting planets, galaxies, and constellations, making it an exhilarating experience.

The adventure continues with a stargazing session where you'll have the chance to recline on comfortable yoga mats and wrap yourself in soft blankets. With the aid of a laser pointer, we will traverse the star-filled sky while you hear an inspiring narrative about the cosmic origins of our universe. Additionally, indulge in a sound therapy session featuring Tibetan bowls, quartz, and gongs, fostering a deep connection with the tranquil night atmosphere.

Finally, we will return to La Serena, arriving back at your hotel approximately 6 hours after our initial pickup.
