Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Sigiriya at 10 am, followed by a journey to our first stop: Polonnaruwa.

After approximately one hour and fifteen minutes on the road, we will reach the remains of this ancient kingdom, established by King Vijayabahu in 1070. Upon arrival, we'll switch from our minibus to bicycles, offering a comfortable and enjoyable way to navigate this historic city.

Next, we will venture to the outskirts of Polonnaruwa, where we will leave our bikes and hop aboard a traditional ox-drawn cart. This mode of transport remains common in various Sri Lankan villages. We will then embark on a boating excursion on Bendiwewa Lake, allowing us to appreciate the area from a different viewpoint.

Later, we'll board a tuk tuk and visit a local farmer's home, where you can discover insights into the traditional rural lifestyle.

Following this engaging experience, we will return to the minibus and head to the ancient Pidurangala monastery to marvel at its ruins nestled in nature. For those who are physically prepared, an ascent of Pidurangala Rock awaits, rewarding you with breathtaking views of Sigiriya. The effort is guaranteed to be worthwhile!

Our day wraps up with your return to the hotel in Sigiriya, arriving around 2 pm.
