Details of the Noto & Syracuse Day Trip

Our journey commences with a pickup from the established meeting point, leading us towards Syracuse. During the scenic drive lasting around an hour and a half, the picturesque views of southern Sicily will unfold before your eyes.

Upon arrival, a guided tour of the archaeological park of Neapolis awaits. This site is a treasure within Syracuse, boasting a Greek theater, a Roman amphitheater, and a temple featuring an altar used for sacrifices, transporting you back through the ages.

Next, we will venture to the island of Ortigia, the historical core of Syracuse, connected to Sicily by several bridges and recognized as a World Heritage Site. Walk through its picturesque streets, including a visit to its cathedral, which is built atop an ancient Greek temple—a place rich with tales of the past.

After the guided tour, you will have an hour to enjoy lunch at a local establishment before we board the minibus for our next destination: Noto. Famed for its stunning Baroque churches, Noto offers the opportunity to appreciate their intricate facades while learning about their significance in relation to the 1693 earthquake.

While in Noto, you'll have about 1 hour of free time to discover the area at your own pace before we begin our return journey.

After this 12-hour adventure, we will conclude our tour of Syracuse and Noto, returning you to the agreed-upon meeting point in Taormina.
