Ticket Information

Situated in the charming village of Thonac, Parc du Thot invites you to journey 20,000 years into the past.

Your ticket grants you the freedom to navigate the park at leisure throughout the day, uncovering the day-to-day life of the Paleolithic era and the creative expressions of early humans.

The park features three key attractions.

Rock Art Interpretation Center

This interactive museum displays replicas of the Lascaux cave artworks alongside depictions of everyday activities of the Cro-Magnon people.

Engage with immersive experiences, such as a 3D cinema and a “time mirror” that allows you to contrast various hominid species.

Animal Reserve

Covering an expanse of 7 hectares, the reserve includes approximately 70 animals that coexisted with our forebears, featuring species like bison, Przewalski's horses, tarpans, elk, deer, and Highland cattle. This setting lets you observe the creatures that inspired ancient cave art.

Workshops & Activities

At Parc du Thot, a range of interactive workshops is available for visitors of all ages, focusing on techniques employed by our ancestors, including rock art creation, hunting and fishing methods, and crafting with stone and leather.

• From April 5 to July 4: 9:30 am to 6 pm
• From July 5 to August 29: 9 am to 6:30 pm
• From August 30 to November 2: 10 am to 6 pm
