Tour Overview
As we navigate through the historic center of Úbeda, we'll revisit a rich cultural tapestry that showcases its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With origins spanning over two thousand years, this city has seen a variety of civilizations that have settled on the Iberian Peninsula. Úbeda truly flourished during the Renaissance. Our exploration will lead us through the medieval pathways of the old town, where the architectural gems intact within its boundaries tell vivid stories of the past.
Throughout the guided excursion, we will marvel at the splendid Renaissance palaces and monasteries constructed during the 15th and 16th centuries, an era when the local nobility held significant influence at court. A highlight of our tour will be the Chapel of the Savior, the final resting place of Francisco de Los Cobos, a prominent figure in the court of Charles I. Our path will additionally take us past other notable landmarks, including the Hospital de Los Honrados Viejos de El Salvador, the Oratory of San Juan de la Cruz, and the Palace of the Count of Guadiana.
