Galician Culinary Workshop + Market Tour
Upon booking, you can select from three distinct experiences, all starting at Rúa Alfredo Vicenti in La Coruña, where you'll delve into the rich flavors of Galician gastronomy. Below, find the details of the three options:
Tapas Experience (1.5 Hours)
We will convene at the specified time for an overview of the tapas menu and the preparations ahead before diving into our culinary tasks.
After familiarizing ourselves with the ingredients, we will carefully follow the chef’s guidance to make the most of the fresh Galician produce, transforming them into exquisite tapas.
Throughout the workshop, we will explore how to create several classic tapas depending on the seasonal availability of ingredients. Some delightful dishes we often craft include the Pencil & Fork special tuna salad, prawn salpicón, mussels in Godello wine, raxo a la gallega paired with patatas bravas, and the well-known Santiago cake.
Finally, we will gather to sample the results of our culinary efforts. Enjoy!

Culinary Workshop (2 Hours)
In this cooking session, embark on a journey to create authentic Galician dishes while uncovering the culinary traditions of this diverse region.
The chef will share the time-honored techniques used in traditional Galician kitchens to prepare beloved recipes such as mussels, paella with squid and cockles, volandeiras with ham, and of course, the iconic Santiago cake.
Once we have crafted our dishes, we will come together at the table to savor the flavors of Galician cuisine. Que aproveche as the locals say!

Culinary Workshop + Market Tour (3 Hours)
This option begins with a visit to the market in Lugo Square, known for its traditional food offerings in La Coruña. We will wander through the various stalls, discovering the abundant selection of seafood and fish sourced directly from the ocean, representing the essence of Galician culture at its finest!
While at the market, a visit to the stalls featuring meat, sausages, fruits, and vegetables will allow us to select the freshest ingredients required for our dishes.
After our market excursion, we'll head to the kitchen to master the preparation of traditional Galician recipes and subsequently enjoy a meal together, celebrating the delicious results. What a treat!

We'll meet at Pencil & Fork, located at Alfredo Vicenti 29, La Coruña, 15004. We recommend being at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the tour starts.
