South Ghana Tour Package: 6 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Accra

Upon your arrival at the Accra airport, our team will be ready to assist you as we proceed to the heart of the Ghanaian capital. Regardless of your arrival time, even if it's in the afternoon, you will have the chance to embark on a sightseeing tour showcasing Accra's most iconic neighborhoods. Our journey will include a visit to the University of Ghana and James Town, a historic area renowned for its lighthouses that guide boats from the Gulf of Guinea.

Experience the lively environment at the fish market and stroll through Oxford Street, lined with vibrant African fabric shops. After a day filled with exploration, we will return to your hotel in Accra, where you can unwind until the next day.

If you arrive later in the evening, you will be taken directly to the hotel.

Day 2: Accra - Ada Foah

Following breakfast at the hotel, our first stop will be Independence Square, also referred to as Black Star Square, where we’ll admire the Eternal Flame of African Liberation, inaugurated in 1961. Next, we will visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, the final resting place of Ghana's inaugural president.

You will have time for lunch before continuing our journey northeast. After a two-hour drive along the Ghanaian coastline, we will reach Ada Foah, where we will explore the local villages.

In the afternoon, we will check into our hotel and enjoy dinner together.

Day 3: Ada Foah

After breakfast, we will set out to discover the beauty of Ada Foah. A highlight of this area is the exceptional bird watching opportunities, where you may spot flamingos, pelicans, white peacocks, and black swans.

After lunch, we will take a boat trip through the mangroves and islands, where you will learn about the local gin production process. The day will conclude with a return to the hotel.

Day 4: Ada Foah - Elmina

On the fourth day, we’ll travel to Elmina, known as the first European settlement in West Africa. Upon our arrival, you will have free time for lunch before we tour the Cape Coast Castle, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fortress is historically significant, known as the 'door of no return' for the millions of slaves who passed through its gates.

Later, we will check into a beachfront hotel and visit an animal sanctuary, home to various species including horses, donkeys, and crocodiles.

Day 5: Elmina

On the fifth day, take advantage of the hotel's facilities. After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy free time to relax by the pool with views of the Atlantic Ocean, or opt for a horse ride along the beach.

Day 6: Elmina - Accra

Following breakfast, we’ll depart from the hotel in Elmina and make our way back to Accra. Our route will take us through the Kingdom of Denkyira, and upon reaching the capital, we will stop at West Hills Mall, where you will have the opportunity for lunch.

Finally, based on your flight schedule, you may have the chance to visit the Arts Centre or proceed directly to the Accra airport.
