Etna Jeep Tour & Boat Excursion
Our day begins at 8:30 am with a gathering on Via Provinciale in Aci Castello. From there, we will hop into an all-terrain jeep for our ascent to Mount Etna, which towers at an impressive 10,912 feet (3,326 metres), offering breathtaking landscapes to explore.
During this jeep tour of Etna, we'll pause at various lookout points, allowing you to truly appreciate the volcano from unique perspectives. Our route will meander through less-traveled paths, granting us the opportunity to soak in the tranquility of this natural reserve and observe the diverse plant and animal life thriving here.
We will delve into the significant impact of Mount Etna's eruptions on the surrounding communities and highlight the rich agricultural benefits provided by Sicilian volcanic soil. As this region is well-known for its wine production, we will take a moment to enjoy a wine tasting experience, complemented by local specialties such as liqueur and honey.
Subsequently, we will transition to the coast for a boat excursion around Aci Trezza. Sail through the waters of the protected Cyclopean Isles Marine Reserve as we admire these remarkable volcanic islets, enriched by tales from Greek mythology regarding their formation.
We'll return to solid ground by 4:30 pm, concluding our exciting day and bringing you back to the starting point.
