Are you ready to dive into the depths? This scuba diving experience in Aci Castello is perfect for everyone, from novices to certified divers, offering you an opportunity to uncover the hidden wonders of the Gulf of Catania.

Activity Details

At your selected time, we'll convene at Via Provinciale 23/25. From this meeting point in Aci Trezza, we will make our way to the port of Aci Castello, where our boat awaits. Once aboard, we’ll set sail across the Ionian Sea, seeking the ideal spots for a remarkable diving experience.

Upon arrival, we'll prepare by equipping you with essential diving gear, from fins to oxygen tanks. Regardless of your experience level, an explanation of how to use each piece of equipment will be provided, along with important underwater communication signals and safety protocols.

Then it's time to dive in! Are you excited to explore the protected marine areas around the Cyclopean Isles? Beginners can go down to a depth of 6 metres (19 feet), while certified divers have the option to reach depths of 18 metres (59 feet).

With your instructor guiding you throughout, you’ll glide beside volcanic islets, marveling at the vibrant underwater life, which includes white seabream, blackspot seabream, octopus, sea sponges, gorgonias, and many more species.

Diving off the Aci Castello coast, you’ll encounter astonishing volcanic formations, lava columns, and unique rock structures. Additionally, we will explore various sites in the Gulf of Catania, where you can observe wrecks from the Second World War.

After a total of four hours immersed in this captivating experience, we will return to the port where our journey began.
