El Borj Desert 2-Day Trip

Experience two remarkable days amidst the golden sands of the El Borj Desert starting from Agadir. The journey includes an overnight stay at a Berber camp and an exploration of the striking rock formations at Legzira beach and the historic town of Tiznit.

Trip Details

Day 1: Tiznit – Legzira Beach – El Borj Desert

At the designated hour, you will be collected from your hotel to embark on a two-day adventure in the El Borj Desert. Prepare to be enchanted by the breathtaking views of golden dunes.

Traveling in an off-road vehicle, we will navigate through the Berber communities near Agadir and into the desert landscape. Our first destination is Tiznit, a town located approximately 80 kilometers (49 miles) to the south of Agadir, known for its remarkable historical architecture.

You will have a window of 30 to 45 minutes to explore its impressive walls, visit the Great Mosque, and wander through the lively souk and craft shops. Did you know that Tiznit is renowned for its exquisite silver jewelry? Make sure to grab a unique piece!

Next, we will continue to Legzira Beach. Nestled along the Atlantic shoreline of Morocco, this stunning beach is recognized for its majestic rock arches and tranquil waters blending into the desert. Enjoy a delightful lunch featuring chicken or fish tajine while at Legzira.

Afterward, with our energy replenished, we will traverse the remarkable dunes of El Borj in the off-road vehicle, marking a highlight of the day. After immersing ourselves in the beauty of these golden sands, we will arrive at the Berber camp around 5 PM for an overnight stay.

Here, we will indulge in a traditional dinner and be entertained by a night show beneath the stars—a perfect conclusion to the day!

Day 2: El Borj Desert – Rasmouka

The second day begins with a traditional Moroccan breakfast in the desert. Energized, we will climb back into the off-road vehicle to further explore the mesmerizing landscapes of the El Borj Desert.

Next, we will spend two hours visiting the village of Rasmouka, gaining insights into the lives of the desert inhabitants. During our time here, we will be welcomed into a local home for lunch, featuring tajine and couscous made fresh just for us!

Ultimately, our journey will consist of a return trip lasting between 3 to 3.5 hours, concluding back at the starting point where we will drop you off at your hotel around 6 PM.

Accommodation Info

This tour offers a night of lodging in a camp featuring single, double, triple or quadruple haima tents. The facilities include shared bathrooms, and each tent can accommodate up to four people, based on your reservation.
