Tour of San José de Gracia & Casa Leal Vineyards

Our journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Aguascalientes at 10 am, leading us to Casa Leal Vineyards, situated just a short distance from the town.

Upon our arrival, participants will embark on a guided exploration of the winery, gaining insights into the cultivation and harvesting of grapes in this region. We will then delve into the processes of crushing, fermentation, resting, and aging wine, providing a comprehensive understanding of local viniculture. Concluding the vineyard visit, a delightful glass of wine paired with regional cheeses awaits.

Next, we will travel to San José de Gracia, celebrated as one of Mexico's Magical Towns. Here, we will visit the Presidente Calles Dam, embarking on a boat ride to the island housing the Statue of the Broken Christ, a striking 25-meter high sculpture made from concrete and steel, symbolizing the suffering of the ill and oppressed.

Following this, we’ll return to San José to explore its renowned artisanal crafts, including the famous clay pineapples. Additionally, we will observe the floodgates of the reservoir and take in the breathtaking views from the El Jocoqui Dam lookout, surrounded by forests of pines, evergreen oaks, and subtropical shrubs.

Ultimately, we will make our way back to your hotel in Aguascalientes, arriving by 2 pm.
