Rafting on the Paraná River
Description
Experience an exciting rafting journey on the Paraná River, set in the stunning natural landscape of the Chapada dos Veadeiros.
Description
Your adventure begins with a 6:00 am pickup from your accommodation in Alto Paraíso de Goiás. Following this, we will embark on a three-hour journey to one of South America's most significant river systems. Upon arrival at the shores of the Paraná River, our instructor will provide a safety briefing.
Once equipped with the necessary gear, we will set out for an exciting rafting experience on the Paraná, the longest river in the Chapada dos Veadeiros! Over the course of approximately six hours, we’ll navigate 10 kilometers that include thrilling sections like the Lapearão rapid, class II, and the more challenging Funil do Paranã rapid, class IV. During our adventure, we will take four breaks to appreciate the breathtaking scenery, home to the Kalunga tribes.
Our rafting route will lead us alongside the tranquil waters near the village of Vai das Almas. Here, we will have the chance to witness the renowned Paraná river dolphins and other native wildlife, including green iguanas.
As we conclude our rafting experience at Vai das Almas, a traditional Kalunga lunch awaits, featuring rice, beans, cassava, fresh vegetables, free-range chicken, and salad—an ideal way to rejuvenate after an exhilarating morning on the water!
Following our meal, we will head back to Alto Paraíso de Goiás, aiming to drop you off at your hotel by around 5:30 pm.
