A voyage along Amsterdam's canals is an essential experience for anyone visiting the Dutch capital. These waterways stretch over 60 miles (100 km) throughout the city center, providing an ideal environment to soak in the soul of the Netherlands.
Throughout your cruise, you will glide along the historic Keizersgracht, also referred to as the Emperor's Canal, which dates back to 1612. This 1.2-mile (2.8 km) stretch is rich with prominent sights, including the iconic House with the Heads—known as "Huis met de Hoofden" in Dutch. The building's exterior is adorned with figures of Roman deities such as Apollo, Minerva, Ceres, Mercury, Bacchus, and Diana.
As the journey continues, you’ll explore the Prinsengracht district, recognized for its enchanting atmosphere. Here, notable attractions await your visit, including the Anne Frank House and the intriguing Houseboat Museum. You will also have the chance to see the Duif Church and the Palace of Justice.
