Starting from a quay located adjacent to Amsterdam's Centraal Station, you will embark on a 75-minute cruise through the city's canals, exploring all the highlights of the Light Festival as it is meant to be appreciated–from the water.

2024-25 Season Theme
The 2024-25 season represents the 13th edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival, featuring the theme Rituals, which explores the deep connection between light and our traditions. From fireworks to bonfires, light has consistently symbolized life, joy, and energy. Join us in celebrating Amsterdam's 750th anniversary with an incredible exhibition of light art, inspired by the city's rich and diverse cultural rituals.
Cruise with Drinks
When making your reservation, you can opt for a package that includes unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks, ideal for toasting while enjoying the festival's most iconic art installations from the comfort of your boat. For minors, this option includes soft drinks only.
This option is typically available from 7:30 pm to 9 pm.

You will embark on a 75-minute cruise through the canals of Amsterdam to experience the Light Festival. You can select a drink package that includes unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks, which is particularly enjoyable during the cruise. The cruise is only operational during the festival period.

The company which carries out this boat tour is called Lovers Canal Cruises, and their boarding point is located at Prins Hendrikkade 25, just 100 metres from Amsterdam Centraal Station.
Please arrive at the quay 15 minutes before boarding time to validate your ticket.
Christmas Period
The opening hours of the Amsterdam Light Festival cruise during the Christmas period are as follows:
- 24, 25, 26 December: 9:30 am to 10:45 pm
- 31 December: 9:30 am to 5 pm
- 1 January: from 10 am to 10:45 pm
Last entry is one hour before closing time.
