Tour Overview

We will gather at Oosterdokskade 63A at the appointed time, ready to embark on our bicycles and explore the countryside. Our journey begins with a ferry ride across the IJ Canal to the vibrant Noord district, where you’ll gain insights into the intricate dikes and locks that safeguard Amsterdam from its waterways. Along the route, iconic windmills will grace our horizon.

We will first board the complimentary ferries linking Amsterdam Central Station to the Noord neighborhood. This crossing offers stunning views, allowing us to soak in the unique vistas characterizing the Dutch countryside, all while glimpsing time-honored windmills.

Have you ever wondered about the polders of the Netherlands? As we traverse the lush meadows, you’ll encounter cows and goats roaming freely, giving you a glimpse into the rural lifestyle just beyond Amsterdam’s urban sprawl. Their presence offers a delightful close-up experience!

Our next stop will be the renowned Jersey IJssalon farm, celebrated for producing artisanal ice cream crafted from Jersey cow's milk, one of the most esteemed breeds in the Netherlands. Following this, we’ll visit another farm adjacent to the first, where a tasting of fresh Dutch cow’s milk awaits, offering a deeper connection to the rich dairy farming heritage of the region.

We will conclude our adventure with a return ferry ride to downtown Amsterdam, bringing our tour to a close after around 2.5 to 3 hours of immersive activity.
