Keukenhof Gardens Day Trip
Description
With a stunning array of hues, delightful fragrances, and more than 7 million tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths, the Keukenhof Gardens rank among the most celebrated flower parks globally. Embark on a journey to explore this remarkable park, starting from Amsterdam!
Details of Your Day Trip
The origins of the Keukenhof Gardens trace back to the 15th century, when it served as a hunting ground and herb garden for Jacqueline, Countess of Hainaut. This historic context is reflected in its name, which translates as "the kitchen garden."
After changing hands through the years, the estate was eventually taken over by a foundation that converted it into the vibrant attraction we know today, drawing millions of visitors from around the globe each year.
Now, occupying 32 hectares (80 acres) and featuring 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) of scenic pathways, the garden offers a wealth of floral exhibits, themed gardens, and art displays. It has become an essential destination for anyone exploring Holland in the springtime.
