Special Exhibitions
From February 13 to May 17, 2026, visitors can experience the temporary exhibition ‘Yellow. Beyond Van Gogh's Color’. This showcase will explore the significance of yellow in many of the artist's works.
A highlight of this exhibition will include the renowned Sunflowers, which will inaugurate the event. This exhibition represents the first exploration into the vital role yellow played in Van Gogh's art and that of his peers. Additionally, it will intersect with themes from fashion, music, and literature, prompting deeper contemplation on color's significance across various artistic domains.

Access will be restricted to the "groups" entrance at Paulus Potterstraat 7 from Friday, June 26, to Sunday, June 28, 2026.

The Van Gogh Museum operates during these hours:
March to September
- Monday to Sunday (excluding Friday): 9 am to 6 pm
- Friday: 9 am to 9 pm, with exceptions on June 28 and September 27, coinciding with the Vincent on Friday event
October
- 1 to 6: 9 am to 6 pm, Friday until 9 pm
- 7 to 10: 9 am to 5 pm
- 11 to 31: 9 am to 6 pm, Fridays until 9 pm
November
- 1 to 3: 9 am to 6 pm, Fridays until 9 pm
- 4 to 30: 9 am to 5 pm, Fridays until 9 pm, except the 29, when the Vincent on Friday event will take place
December
- 1 to 20: 9 am to 5 pm, Fridays until 9 pm
- 21 to 23: 9 am to 6 pm
- 24 to 26: 9 am to 5 pm
- 27: 9 am to 9 pm

Opening Times
The museum is open daily, however at varying times. For a complete list of the museum's opening hours, click here.
Every Friday throughout the year, the museum remains open until 9 pm to host special events. Check out the Vincent on Friday program for an added experience during your visit. The only exceptions are September 27, October 7-10, and November 29, 2024, when the museum will close at its regular time.
