Upcoming Temporary Exhibitions
From February 13 to May 17, 2026, the Van Gogh Museum will feature the temporary exhibition ‘Yellow. Beyond Van Gogh's Color’. This exhibition will explore the significance of the color yellow throughout the artist's body of work.
A highlight of this exhibit will be the renowned Sunflowers, which will inaugurate the exhibition. This presentation will be the first to delve into the significance of yellow for both Vincent van Gogh and his contemporaries. The exhibition will also encompass elements of fashion, music, and literature, prompting reflection on the role of color across diverse artistic domains.

The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam operates during the following hours:
From March to September
- Open daily (except Fridays): 9 am to 6 pm
- Fridays: 9 am to 9 pm, with the exception of June 28 and September 27, during which the Vincent on Friday event will be held.
In October
- From October 1 to 6: 9 am to 6 pm; Fridays until 9 pm
- From October 7 to 10: 9 am to 5 pm
- From October 11 to 31: 9 am to 6 pm; Fridays until 9 pm
In November
- From November 1 to 3: 9 am to 6 pm; Fridays until 9 pm
- From November 4 to 30: 9 am to 5 pm; Fridays until 9 pm, except for the 29th, during which the Vincent on Friday event will take place.
In December
- From December 1 to 20: 9 am to 5 pm; Fridays until 9 pm
- From December 21 to 23: 9 am to 6 pm
- From December 24 to 26: 9 am to 5 pm
- On December 27: 9 am to 9 pm
- From December 28 to 30: 9 am to 6 pm
- On December 31: 9 am to 5 pm

Opening Times
The museum is open daily, however at varying times. For a complete list of the museum's opening hours, click here.
Every Friday throughout the year, the museum remains open until 9 pm to host special events. Check out the Vincent on Friday program for an added experience during your visit. The only exceptions are September 27, October 7-10, and November 29, 2024, when the museum will close at its regular time.
