Tour Overview
Day 1: Anchorage to Seward
Step into a realm of breathtaking national parks, towering ice formations, stunning vistas, and endemic wildlife. Welcome to the breathtaking wilderness of Alaska, often referred to as the "Last Frontier," a prime destination for nature enthusiasts.
We will gather early in the morning at the entrance of Aloft Anchorage, departing the city limits towards Seward via an impressive highway that offers panoramic views of Alaska's majestic surroundings.
Our first stop will be in Girdwood, where we will ascend on the Alyeska Tram. At 2,296 ft (700 m), you’ll take in the stunning scenery of Turnagain Arm and the Chugach Mountains.
Next, we will head to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a sanctuary for rescued wildlife including grizzly bears, bison, and elk. Here, we’ll pause for a picnic lunch in the great outdoors.
Upon arriving in Seward, you will have some time to dine at one of the local restaurants before settling in at your accommodation for the night.
Day 2: Seward Exploration
Would you like to embark on a scenic boat tour around the Kenai Peninsula? After breakfast, we will set sail for a day of discovering the abundant wildlife and majestic glaciers from a unique vantage point.
Your cruise will take you alongside pristine natural wonders where you can observe bird colonies, sea lions, otters, and even orcas as they hunt for salmon. A picnic lunch on board will make for a perfect dining experience amidst the stunning views.
We’ll return to our base in the mid-afternoon for dinner and a restful evening.
Day 3: Seward to Exit Glacier
Following breakfast, we're headed to Exit Glacier within the stunning Kenai Fjords National Park. You will be able to choose between a short trail or a longer hike that leads us to Marmot Meadows. Regardless of the path chosen, a delightful picnic lunch awaits!
Later, we will enjoy a picturesque drive through the enchanting forests encircling Seward, leading us to the Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge. This serene retreat overlooks the vibrant Matanuska Valley, ensuring a memorable stay amidst spectacular nighttime vistas.
Day 4: Glenn Highway and Historical Sites
After breakfast, we will continue our journey along the Kenai Peninsula, stopping at the Independence Mine State Historical Park. This site offers insight into the Klondike Gold Rush, a captivating chapter in Alaska's history.
We will pause for a picnic lunch before proceeding through the Mat-Su Valley and arriving at Denali late in the afternoon. You can unwind at your lodging, and we will suggest some local dining options for your dinner.
Day 5: Denali National Park Adventure
After a hearty breakfast, we will venture into Denali National Park, a prime location for wildlife spotting including bears, wolves, lynx, moose, and beavers. This park offers fascinating landscapes and vibrant wildlife.
