Tour Overview
Are you eager to delve into the history, culture, and captivating tales of Anchorage in a distinctive manner? Our meeting point will be the entrance of Tequila 61 restaurant, conveniently situated at 445 W 4th Ave, before we embark on an engaging trolley journey through Alaska's largest urban area.
Onboard the red trolley, we'll traverse the scenic routes of Anchorage, visiting must-see attractions along the way. Throughout this 20-minute experience, we’ll make stops for you to hop off and capture memorable photographs. An informative guide will accompany us, sharing intriguing stories and insights about Anchorage's heritage.
Our journey will take us to Earthquake Park, allowing us to step back to 1964 and reflect on the significant impact of the earthquake that affected the city deeply.
Next, we'll visit Lake Hood, where you will witness the breathtaking sight of seaplanes gracefully landing on the lake's surface. Following this, we’ll make our way to Ship Creek, an ideal location for fishing enthusiasts seeking salmon and anglerfish. With some luck, we might even catch sight of anglers as they reel in their catches!
Our adventure will then lead us to Point Woronzof, a lookout point that provides one of the most stunning panoramic views of Anchorage. On particularly clear days, you might even catch a glimpse of Mount Denali, the tallest peak in North America. Moreover, it is not uncommon to witness moose in their natural surroundings, making this spot one of the prime locations for observing wildlife in Alaska.
At the conclusion of our enriching experience, lasting between 1.5 and 2 hours, we will return to our original gathering point.
