Tour Overview

At the specified time, we will collect you from your accommodation in Terceira and head towards Biscoitos. Are you prepared to delve into the enchanting realm of winemaking?

Upon arriving at this location in the northern region of the island, we’ll explore the Materramenta winery, where the production of Azorean wines will be unveiled. Should you opt for the wine tasting package, you will have the opportunity to sample a variety of exquisite wines.

Moreover, we will indulge in a delightful homemade lunch at the winery, showcasing local culinary specialties from the archipelago. Following our meal, the exploration of the island will continue as we visit various vineyards across Terceira, tailored to the season's offerings.

Throughout this journey, you'll uncover the varieties of grapes cultivated on the island and the meticulous care they demand. Additionally, you will gain insights into traditional viticulture practices, carefully preserved through generations over many years.

Finally, after an enriching 8-hour experience immersed in the wine traditions of the Azores, we will conclude our tour back at your hotel.

Standard Tour

This option includes a visit to a winery and a lunch, with no wine tasting component.

Tour + Tasting of 3 Wines

This choice encompasses all the benefits of the standard tour, along with a sampling of 3 local wines: Terras de Lava, Pedras Brancas, and Materramenta.

Tour + Tasting of 4 Wines & 2 Aguardientes

In this case, you will enjoy a visit to the winery, a delectable lunch, and a sampling of 4 wines sourced from 3 different islands in the Azores, which will change according to the season. Additionally, you will partake in a tasting of 2 aguardientes, paired with traditional bread, local cheeses, and jams from Terceira.

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from the hotel in Terceira Island that you selected during the booking process. Please be ready a few minutes early.

Please note that alcoholic beverages will only be served to over-18s. Children aged 4 to 11 can enjoy the lunch and other food tastings, but children under 4 are not included.
