Arequipa & Colca Canyon 4-Day Adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Arequipa

Your adventure begins with a pickup from Arequipa’s airport or bus terminal at 11 am, followed by a transfer to your hotel. At 1 pm, we embark on a guided exploration of the city's main attractions.

Our first stop is the Monastery of Santa Catalina, a mesmerizing walled convent built for nuns, where you'll be enchanted by its narrow streets adorned with exquisite red and blue walls, leading you through tranquil cloisters and gardens.

Continuing our city tour, we will admire the impressive Plaza de Armas, visit the charming Jesuit Church of the Company, and discover the historic Tristán del Pozo house. We conclude the day with breathtaking views from Carmen Alto and Yanahuara.

You will return to your hotel at 6 pm, leaving you with the remainder of the day to wander at your leisure.

Day 2: Arequipa to Colca Valley and Chivay

After breakfast, our journey begins at 8 am towards the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve. During our travels, keep an eye out for vicuñas, alpacas, llamas, flamingos, and Andean geese in their natural environments.

We will make a pause at the Mirador de Los Volcanes (Volcano Viewpoint), situated at an altitude of over 15,000 ft, offering spectacular views of the Colca Valley ideal for capturing unforgettable photographs!

By 2 pm, we will reach Chivay, the capital of the Colca Valley, where you can enjoy the rest of the day exploring the town as you wish.

Day 3: From Chivay to Colca Canyon and Return to Arequipa

Prepare for an early start on the third day! We will rise at 6 am and savor a delicious breakfast at the hotel before setting off to the Colca Canyon. Along the way, we will traverse through quaint villages like Yanque and Maca, both showcasing beautiful colonial architecture.

Upon arrival, we will visit the Condor Cross viewpoint, a prime location to appreciate the breathtaking Peruvian landscape. Next, we will explore the essential viewpoints for spotting condors soaring gracefully overhead, creating an unforgettable moment!

The day will wrap up as we head back to Arequipa, expected to arrive around 5 pm. You will then have the rest of the evening free to enjoy the city according to your preferences.

Day 4: Departure from Arequipa

After breakfast in Arequipa, we will arrange your drop-off at the airport or bus station, ensuring you have enough time to catch your onward transportation.

Accommodation Details

This itinerary includes 3 nights of hotel accommodation with breakfast. At the time of booking, you can select a single or double room option. The accommodations for your stay are as follows:

• Arequipa: Hostal La Casa de Margot or equivalent.
• Chivay: Hostal Colca Inn or equivalent.

Essential Information

We will collect you from the airport or bus terminal in Arequipa at 11 am, so we advise that you arrange your bus or flight to the city for arrival before this time.

Children under 3 years old can join for free, provided they share a bed with their parents and sit on their lap during all transportation.
