Day Trip to Salinas & Yanaorco Lagoons + Lojen Hot Springs

Your adventure begins at 6 am, where we'll gather at your hotel or at a designated point on San Agustín Street before embarking on our journey. En route, we will pause in the charming town of Mariano Melgar to allow you the opportunity to enjoy breakfast independently.

Continuing onwards, we will arrive at the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, a region featuring the majestic Misti, Pichu Pichu, and Chachani volcanoes. With these stunning peaks framing our path, we will explore the captivating Salinas Lagoon, complete with its diverse wetlands and surreal salt beaches.

We will also encounter native wildlife, including llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and flamingos, alongside a variety of migratory birds. Our exploration will take us to the Moche Salt Flat, where we can enjoy playing with perspective to capture beautiful photographs.

Next, we will head to the Lojen Hot Springs, where you will have time to relax and soak in the healing waters, maintained at a pleasant temperature of 24 to 26 degrees Celsius.

Following our time at the hot springs, we will visit the San José de Uzuña Dam, a remarkable example of engineering that encompasses the Yanaorco Lagoon. You will have the opportunity to savor lunch, explore the surrounding area, or even take a kayak ride if desired.

As our memorable day draws to a close, we will return to Arequipa, ensuring you are dropped off at your hotel in the city center or at the Plaza de Armas between 4:30 and 5 pm.
