Significance of Arromanches 360
Perched atop a cliff overlooking the remnants of one of the temporary Mulberry harbours erected by Allied forces, the Arromanches 360 complex features a captivating circular cinema.
Inside, you will find nine screens arranged in a full 360-degree view showcasing a 20-minute presentation that depicts the Battle of Normandy. This operation, which commenced on June 6, 1944, marked a crucial turning point during the Second World War.
As you arrive at the circular cinema, take a moment to explore the exhibition area, which includes maps, a timeline of historical events, and various informative displays related to this significant occasion. Additionally, the space features numerous artifacts from the British army, courtesy of the Mémorial de Caen museum.
Throughout the screening, you will encounter archival footage from various military archives, including those of the British, Canadian, German, American, and French forces. In addition to the landing sequences, the film covers other significant occurrences, such as the devastating bombings of Le Havre that transpired from September 5 to 12, 1944.
Spanning over 100 days, the Battle of Normandy significantly altered the trajectory of history. The film delves into the key moments that defined this essential period.

- October 1 to 16: open daily from 10 am to 5 pm
- October 17 to 31: open daily from 10 am to 5:30 pm
- November 1 to December 31: open daily from 10 am to 5 pm

Screenings occur hourly and also at the thirty-minute mark.
