8-Day Safari in Northern Tanzania

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon your arrival at the airport, our team will greet you and escort you to your hotel in Arusha. Once you check in, you may relax and admire the stunning Tanzanian scenery, take a dip in the swimming pool, or simply unwind until the next day's activities.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we will discuss the itinerary for the upcoming days with our safari guides. Soon after, we'll embark on a journey to Lake Manyara National Park, a vibrant wildlife refuge near Arusha. Prepare to explore the surrounding acacia forests and grasslands that frame this magnificent lake.

During our excursion, be on the lookout for wild species such as climbing lions, elephants, rhinoceroses, leopards, and buffalo, often spotted just a stone's throw away! Throughout our travels in the park, we'll share intriguing insights about the remarkable birdlife that inhabits this area. The day concludes back at the hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti

Today, we will depart from Lake Manyara and set our sights on the vast expanses of the Serengeti, keeping an eye out for the elusive wildebeest. In this renowned natural reserve, countless wildlife awaits to be discovered, so be prepared with your camera!

Before enjoying lunch, we will engage in fun activities, followed by another adventure in the Serengeti National Park plains. During the afternoon, we'll traverse the region as we encounter zebras, rhinoceroses, and ostriches, returning to the hotel later for dinner and rest.

Days 4 & 5: Serengeti Exploration

As the morning birds sing, we will have a delicious breakfast and continue to explore the Serengeti. Our primary focus over the next couple of days is to witness the wildebeest migration. From the comfort of our jeep, we will be able to observe the long procession of wildebeests departing the park in search of new grazing lands.

After a midday rest, we will return to our safari, dedicated to observing the dynamic interactions among wildebeests, gazelles, and zebras—an impressive spectacle! After two thrilling days in the Serengeti, we will retreat to our accommodation for a well-deserved meal.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

On this day, we rise early to visit Ngorongoro, a crucial conservation area nestled within a volcanic crater designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While exploring this rich environment, keep an eye out for leopards and elephants, and consider a side trip to Olduvai Gorge to view some of the oldest hominid fossils known to mankind.

If desired, you may also visit a Maasai village to immerse yourself in the local culture. After a lunch break and some relaxation, we will continue to discover the beauty of Ngorongoro Park before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day 7: Ngorongoro to Tarangire and back to Arusha

Our final full day is dedicated to exploring Tarangire National Park, renowned for its dense populations of African elephants. As we navigate through the park, witness the stunning sight of elephants moving in herds beneath the towering baobab trees, a memory that will last a lifetime.

As we observe the unique foliage reaching heights of up to thirty meters (98 feet), we will gradually make our way back toward Arusha. The day culminates at our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Departure from Arusha

After packing your belongings and enjoying breakfast, it will be time to bid farewell to Tanzania. We will ensure your smooth transfer to the airport, marking the conclusion of your unforgettable journey through the African savannah.

Hot Air Balloon Experience Over Serengeti

Add a unique touch to your safari with a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti, available upon request on the first day of your tour for scheduling on day 4 or 5.

Safari Plus 4 Days in Zanzibar

Upon booking, you can extend your adventure by adding 4 days on the idyllic island of Zanzibar. From Arusha airport, you'll be taken to Stone Town, the island's historical hub.

Enjoy the pristine beaches and explore the old quarter of Africa's oldest eastern city. Engage in visits to notable sites such as the House of Wonders, the sultan's former palace, the Arab Fort, and traditional Arab baths.

Your stay during these four days will be at the Mnarani Beach Cottages Hotel, complete with half board. On the last day, we will transfer you back to either Dar Es Salaam or Kilimanjaro airport.
