Nubian Village Day Trip
Description
Cross the River Nile on board a traditional felucca to discover the most authentic village in Egypt, Gharb Soheil, where you can see the daily life of the Nubians.
Day Trip Details
Having picked you up at the hotel or boat where you're staying, we will make our way to a small port to board the boat for our cruise on the Nile.
Once we cross the Nile, you'll have the opportunity to swim and relax on a golden beach. The adventure continues on camelback as we head to our destination: Gharb Soheil, better known as the Nubian Village. Nubia is the region in Africa located between southern Egypt and northern Sudan.
The Nubian Village is the most authentic inhabitants of Egypt. This village boasts a rich history that dates back several centuries, making it one of the oldest in Africa. Its civilization carries a legacy that spans millennia, establishing it as a significant cultural site.
In the village, we will stroll through the market and explore some of the houses to see what lies beyond their colorful façades. You'll also have the chance to try the local food and traditional teas, listen to their music, and even get a henna tattoo.
After the visit, we will return via the same route, arriving back at the departure point approximately 3 to 4 hours later.
