Classical Greece Tour: 4 Days
Description
Delve into the past and discover Ancient Greece on a 4-day trip to Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, and Meteora accompanied by an English-speaking guide. On the tour, we'll also stop at other important sites.
Tour Details
Day 1
After collecting you from your hotel in Athens, we will head to the Corinth Canal. Next, we will continue to Epidaurus to visit its Ancient Theatre. The tour will then proceed to Mycenae, a significant archaeological site. The day concludes at a hotel in Olympia for dinner and leisure time.
Day 2
The second day begins with a visit to the archaeological site of Olympia, including the altar and the Stadium of the first Olympic Games. Afterward, we will travel to Delphi, where we will spend the night.
Day 3
After breakfast, explore the archaeological remains of Delphi and visit the Archaeological Museum. Later, we will travel to Kalambaka, where we will spend the night.
Day 4
On the final day, visit the 11th-century monasteries of Meteora, typically including 2 of the following: St. Stephen, Varlaam, Gran Meteoro, or Rousanou. We will stop at Thermopylae on our return to Athens, expected between 6:30 pm and 7 pm.
Tour Accommodation
This tour includes 3 nights' accommodation. Prices are per person in single, double, or triple rooms, with the following hotel options based on availability:
Standard Hotels
- Olympia: Hotel Neda, Kentrikon Hotel or similar.
- Delphi: Hotel Hermes, Hotel Olympic, Nafisica Beach, Pythia Hotel or similar.
- Kalambaka: Hotel Orfeas or similar.
Luxury Hotels
- Olympia: Hotel Amalia, Laggadia Resort or similar.
- Delphi: Hotel Amalia, Hotel Nafsika Pce, Apollonia Hotel or similar.
- Kalambaka: Hotel Amalia, Divani Meteora Hotel or similar.
Hotel Pickup
The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off from most hotels in Athens. If your hotel is not listed, you will receive an email with alternative meeting point information.
Important Note
On April 11 and 12, 2026, several historical sites, including Olympia, will be closed due to a public holiday.

Please be aware that the time on the webpage is the start of the tour, but we'll get in contact at least 24 hours in advance to confirm the pickup time.
Please note that in Greece there is a stayover tax when you stay in a hotel or furnished apartment:
- 4-star hotels: 10EUR per night and room
- 3-star hotels: 5EUR per night and room
Closure of Monuments
Please note that on the following dates, monuments will be closed for public holidays in Greece: January 1, March 25, April 11, April 12, May 1, December 25 and 26.
