Acropolis Guided Tour
Description
During this guided exploration of the Acropolis in Athens, you will have the opportunity to experience one of the most significant temple complexes of Greece, an essential stop for anyone visiting the nation's capital.
Tour Overview
We will convene at number 26 Athanasiou Diakou at the scheduled time to commence our guided journey through the Acropolis. From this point, our walk will lead us towards the most renowned site in the Greek capital: the hill where the Upper City of Athens is located.
As we ascend the southern slope of this hill, we will take care to avoid the larger crowds of tourists, allowing us to enjoy the stunning vistas of the city below. Upon reaching the summit, our exploration begins at the Theater of Dionysus, which dates back to the 5th century BC. Are you curious to learn which iconic Greek playwrights showcased their works here?
We will then pass through the magnificent Propylaea, the grand columned gateway at the entrance, pausing to admire the Temple of Athena Nike. This moment promises to be a highlight of our visit.
Inside the Acropolis, we will uncover fascinating legends from Greek mythology as we explore its monuments, including the world-famous Parthenon and the Erechtheion, known for its remarkable caryatids. This is a true delight for enthusiasts of Classical Greece.
We will conclude our two-hour exploration of the Acropolis in an unforgettable manner, admiring one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Athens.
