Set out on an enriching full-day excursion to Delphi from Athens, a place once thought to be the world's center, and now recognized as one of Greece's key historical locations. This journey provides an insightful glimpse into Greek history and mythology.

We will gather at Athanasiou Diakou, number 26, at the specified time to begin our journey towards Delphi, a captivating town designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, famed for its remarkable Temple of Apollo.

During our transit, we will pass through the picturesque Boeotia region and see the city of Thebes, an iconic location in Greek mythology, without making any stops. A short pause will be taken in Livadeia for refreshments or a restroom break.

After approximately three hours of travel from Athens, we will reach Delphi, once regarded as the world's center in ancient times. Our exploration will last for about 2.5 hours, during which we will visit significant sites such as the Monument to the Argos Kings, the Athenian Treasury, and the renowned Temple of Apollo. Following this, we will appreciate the treasures housed within the Delphi Archaeological Museum, including the celebrated Charioteer of Delphi.

Afterwards, you will have 1.5 hours of leisure time to savor a traditional Greek meal at a local family-operated restaurant. Once we conclude our visit, we will head back to Athens.

Our day trip will wrap up as we return to our initial meeting point, arriving approximately 10 hours after our departure.

Day Trip + Audio Guide

For those interested, an option is available to include an audio guide in English as part of the excursion to the archaeological site, alongside an English-speaking tour assistant on the vehicle. Please note that this selection excludes tickets and lunch.

The cost for entry tickets is 20USD for adults, which should be reserved for the 1-2 pm time slot. EU citizens under 25 and non-EU individuals under 18 can access the site free of charge by showing their ID at the ticket office. Adults over the age of 65 will benefit from a 50% discount, applicable only at the ticket office.
