Embark on a day trip to Delphi from Athens and immerse yourself in the allure of one of the most renowned cities from antiquity. The archaeological site represents a cornerstone of Greece's cultural heritage, ideal for delving into the nation's mythological and historical narratives.
Details of the Day Trip
We will rendezvous at the Athens meeting point at the scheduled hour before departing for Delphi, a captivating city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and the sacred home of the renowned Temple of Apollo.
During our journey, we will traverse Boeotia and Thebes, making a brief stop in Livadeia to facilitate restroom breaks or enjoy a cup of coffee. After approximately 3 hours of travel from Athens, we will reach Delphi, famously referred to in ancient times as "the navel of the world."
Once at the site, you will have 2.5 hours dedicated to exploring the Monument to the Kings of Argos, the Treasury, and the illustrious Temple of Apollo. Additionally, a visit to the Archaeological Museum awaits, where you can admire notable pieces, including the renowned Charioteer of Delphi.
Subsequently, 1.5 hours of free time for lunch will be provided. After a refreshing break, we will set off for our return to Athens, concluding the journey at the meeting point approximately 10 hours after departure.

When arranging your trip, you can select from the following choices:
Audio-Guided Tour at 7:45 am
Pickup will occur at the specified time from the New Hotel, located at Filellinon 16, Athina 105 57, Greece.
Experience the excursion with the aid of an audio guide in Delphos, complemented by an English-speaking tour assistant aboard the vehicle.
Audio-Guided Tour at 8:15 am
This alternative option includes pickup at the appointed time from Athanasiou Diakou 26, Athina 117 43, Greece.
As with the earlier option, you will utilize an audio guide in Delphos along with the support of an English-speaking tour assistant on the bus.
Note: Neither audio guide option encompasses lunch or admission fees. The ticket price is 20EUR for adults and should be reserved for the period between 1 pm and 2 pm. EU citizens under 25 and non-EU residents under 18 gain free entry by presenting their ID at the ticket office. Adults over 65 enjoy a 50% discount.
To ensure ticket availability, we advise booking in advance through the official website rather than waiting until arrival at the ticket counter.
Guided Tour + Tickets
We will convene at Athanasiou Diakou 26 at the designated time and proceed to Delphi, where admission tickets and an English-speaking guide are included in your package.
Guided Tour + Tickets + Lunch
This option features pickup at Athanasiou Diakou 26, inclusive of admission tickets, an English-speaking guide, and a delectable set menu at a traditional Greek restaurant.
Key Information
During your free time at the Delphi archaeological site, the Delphi Stadium is accessible for exploration (this is not part of the guided tour). Please be aware that the Temple of Athena Pronaia is currently closed until further notice.

If you have selected the option with a guide at 8:15 am, 15 minutes beforehand, we'll meet at the Key Tours Greece S.A. offices, located at the following address: 26, Athanasiou Diakou Str, Athina 117 43, Greece.
The closest metro station is Akropoli, just a 3-minute walk away.

Tickets Info
Please note that if you have chosen the day trip with an audio guide option, tickets are not included in the activity and cost 20USD for adults. Please reserve them for the 1-2 pm time slot. EU citizens under the age of 25 and non-EU citizens under the age of 18 can enter free of charge by presenting their ID card at the ticket office. Adults over 65 will receive a 50% discount (both online and at the ticket booth), and will have to present their ID at the ticket booth.
If you want to book your tickets in advance and make sure they’re available on the day of the tour, we recommend that you don’t wait until you get to the ticket office and book them through the official website instead.
On the day of the activity, please follow these instructions to get the audio guide in English on your mobile phone:
- 1. Download the KEY TOURS app from the App Store or Play Store
- 2. Select “Delphi: The Navel of the Earth”
- 3. Log in to download and enter the code KEYDELFOS
Make sure your phone is charged before the tour, and don't forget to bring your own headphones. We also suggest downloading the audio guide while connected to Wi-Fi before the tour so you can use it offline.
Important Info
The Delphi Stadium can be visited during your free time at the Delphi archaeological site (it's not part of the guided tour). The Temple of Athena Pronaia will remain closed until further notice.
Additional Info
Please note that several sections of the tour involve a lot of stairs and walking.
Closure of Monuments
Please note that on the following dates, monuments will be closed for public holidays in Greece: January 1, March 25, April 12, May 1, December 25 and 26.
