This option offers a skip-the-line entry to the Acropolis. While standard tickets for children under 5 and EU students under 25 come with discounts, purchasing this specific skip-the-line option means that you will need to pay the full price.
Skip-the-Line Access
Daily, over 20,000 individuals visit the Acropolis. By opting for this ticket, you can enhance your visit and bypass the lengthy lines at the ticket office. However, you will still need to wait at the security checkpoint before entering the site.
EU citizens under 25 and non-EU citizens under 18 eligible for discounts must also buy this ticket at full price to gain direct access to the Acropolis along with other members of their group. They only need to proceed through the security checkpoint.
Operating Hours
The Acropolis of Athens observes the following hours of operation:
- From April 1 to September 15: 8 am to 7:30 pm
- From September 15 to September 30: 8 am to 7 pm
- From October 1 to October 15: 8 am to 6:30 pm
- From October 16 to October 31: 8 am to 6 pm
- From November 1 to March 31: 8 am to 5 pm
Please be aware that upon booking, you will be able to choose the date and time for accessing the Acropolis.

- Once reserved, the date or time slot for entry cannot be changed or adjusted for any reason.
- This ticket includes standard admission at the regular adult rate and is valid for all ages. EU citizens under 25 and non-EU citizens under 18 enjoy free admission by presenting their ID at the ticket office. Adults over 65 receive a 50% discount only at the ticket office or through the Acropolis website.
- Given that access is limited to designated time slots, availability of tickets may be constrained, so it is advisable to book free tickets via the Acropolis website promptly.
- Entry is only allowed during the selected time slot, with a grace period of 15 minutes before or after.
- Visitors with disabilities can enter free by presenting their disability certificate at the ticket office.

Important information
You'll receive your Acropolis admission ticket at the time of booking, with a QR code indicating the time and date of your visit. If you do not receive the QR document or have any other problems, please contact the local team. With this ticket and the registration with the QR code, you'll be able to visit the monument without queuing at the ticket office. The pink Civitatis voucher without the QR code is not valid for access to the Acropolis.
Both entrances to the Acropolis of Athens can be reached via the M2 line (red line) from Acropolis, the closest metro station to the monument. The monument can also be reached from Monastiraki station (line M3 - blue line) or Thiseio station (line M1 - green line).
Monuments Closed
Please note that on the following dates, the monuments of Greece are closed: January 1st , March 25th , April 13th . May 1, December 25 and 26.
Discounted admission
This product is an entrance ticket to the Acropolis of Athens without waiting in line for the ticket offices. So, despite the fact that the price for EU citizens under 25 and non-EU citizens under 18 is discounted, you'll need to pay the full price to use the skip-the-line access.
Skip-the-line tickets
By booking this ticket, you'll avoid the queues at the ticket offices. However, you'll have to wait in line at the security checkpoint to enter the monument.
