Tour to Pachapupum Volcano

Tour Overview

We will commence our adventure at the **Plaza de Armas**, where our bus will be ready to transport us to **Sacsamarca**, a prominent agricultural region situated to the south of Ayacucho.

The journey will take approximately 4 to 5 hours, during which we will pause in the charming town of **Condorccocha** for a breather and the chance to have breakfast at your own pace. Following this, we will make another brief stop in **Huanca Sancos**, allowing those without a packed lunch to procure a bite to eat before noon.

Upon reaching the majestic **Pachapupum volcano**, we will ascend to the summit via **natural steps** sculpted by centuries of erosion. At the peak, you will be greeted by the sight of the **spectacular 10-meter diameter crater**, where you can observe the water bubbling from the geothermal activity beneath.

In addition to the main crater, discover surrounding **smaller pools** that emerged from similar erosional processes over millennia. These pools boast **mineral-rich waters** containing salts and sulfur, providing a perfect opportunity for a rejuvenating soak. Remember to pack your swimsuit to fully enjoy this natural spa experience!

Afterward, you can enjoy your packed lunch in a scenic setting. As the day comes to a close, we will board the bus for our return to Ayacucho, with an expected arrival back at the starting point around 6 PM.
