Prepare yourself to tackle the highest summit in Búzios! Our adventure commences at Praça Santos Dumont, where we will convene at the designated time before boarding our transport towards the trailhead of the Serra das Emerências — a remarkable natural gem ready to be unveiled!

Our trek kicks off with a refreshing uphill hike, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the vibrant landscape of this exceptional region in eastern Brazil. As we ascend, we'll encounter the area's rich biodiversity, which includes one of the last remaining stretches of the Atlantic Forest in Búzios. Stay alert to observe various species of native plants and wildlife throughout the journey!

Before long, we will reach an impressive height of 164 meters (538 ft), where a breathtaking panoramic landscape awaits us. From this magnificent viewpoint, you can admire the expansive Búzios peninsula, dotted with pristine beaches and the endless azure ocean extending to the horizon. On clear days, you may even glimpse the nearby islands!

Once we have relished the stunning vistas, we will commence our descent towards José Gonçalves beach. Here, you can take a moment to relax by the shoreline, enjoy a refreshing swim, bask in the sun, and — should your hike be in the afternoon — witness the enchanting hues of the sunset reflecting on the water.

After an engaging 2 to 3 hours of exploration, we will conclude our adventure and return to our initial meeting point at Praça Santos Dumont.
