Trip to Gobustan (3.5 hours)
Your adventure will begin with pick-up at the designated meeting point before we proceed to visit the first oil well of the city, which dates back to 1871. Following this, we will tour the Bibi-Heybat mosque to appreciate the Islamic architectural details.
Next, a visit to the Gobustan National Park awaits, where you can observe ancient cave paintings from prehistoric times situated in the Caucasus region. Afterward, you will board a vintage Soviet taxi to witness the mesmerizing mud volcanoes, a unique phenomenon often likened to lunar landscapes.
Exploration of the Absheron Peninsula (3 hours)
From the meeting point, you will be taken on an enthralling journey across the stunning Absheron Peninsula. Our first destination is Yanar Dag (Fire Mountain), renowned for its perpetual flames fueled by natural gas.
After experiencing this spectacular natural fire, we will visit the Fire Temple of Ateshgah, where you can learn about the significance of the concept of God and fire within the ancient Zoroastrian faith.
Combined Gobustan and Absheron Peninsula Tour (7 hours)
We'll begin your day with pick-up before heading to the first oil well in the area. Our next stop is the magnificent Bibi-Heybat mosque, which inspired the famous writer Alexander Dumas.
The journey continues to Gobustan National Park, where you will enjoy an enlightening tour filled with petroglyphs from various eras. Aboard a Soviet cab, we will then visit the mud volcanoes, a site previously nominated as one of the natural wonders of the world!
Following this, you will have an hour of free time for lunch (not included) before we return to the Absheron Peninsula, where we will admire Yanar Dag, the region's flaming mountain, and visit the Fire Temple of Ateshgah, which holds deep significance in Zoroastrianism.
Quba Day Trip (10 hours)
After gathering at the Baku Tourist Office, your exciting trip along the Quba road will commence. We will pause at Besh Barmag mountain, a notable pilgrimage site, before continuing to the Qecresh forest, where you will have free time to enjoy the locally revered Samovar tea.
As the tour progresses, we will arrive at the stunning Mestergah waterfall, surrounded by endemic species. We will conclude our exploration in Khinalig, where you can wander through its charming streets and learn about the local lifestyle, including communication in the Ketsch language, a rarity in the world.
Gabala and Shamakhi Tour (10 hours)
From the designated meeting location, we will depart for the Juma Mosque in Shamakhi, showcasing impressive architecture that served as a socio-cultural hub in medieval times. Next, we will head to the hanging bridge near Ismayilli for breathtaking views.
Upon reaching Gabala, you'll have one hour of free time for lunch (not included). Refreshed, we will then explore the Seven Beauties waterfalls via a vintage Soviet cab. To close the day, we will visit the Tufandag Mountains Resort, where you can ride a cable car to the mountain summit.
