This performance, which has its roots in the 1930s, presents a narrative derived from the epic Ramayana, a celebrated and revered text in Indian culture. Set in Ubud, the tale chronicles how the monkey god Hanuman assists King Rama in conquering Ravana.

Spanning approximately 45 minutes, this ritualistic dance primarily features male performers donned in traditional attire such as a sarong, accompanied by the resonant "cak" chants throughout the storytelling. The dramatic portrayal of this epic, enhanced with fire effects, is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Guests are encouraged to arrive at least one hour early to ensure proper seating. Below is the schedule and venue address for your chosen show date:

  • Tuesdays and Sundays at 7 pm: Jl. Jero Gadung 101-99
  • Thursday at 7 pm: Pelatian Palace, located at F7J9+VP4
  • Saturdays at 7:30 pm: Please proceed to the Pura Dalem Junjungan Temple
