Khao Yai Tour
Description
Stunning waterfalls and diverse wildlife: leave behind Bangkok for a day dedicated to exploring nature in one of Thailand's expansive national parks through this excursion to Khao Yai.
Khao Yai Excursion
At the scheduled hour, you'll be collected from your accommodation in Bangkok for a journey of approximately three hours northeastward. Get ready for an adventure in the jungle!
During the drive, we'll pause briefly at The Birder's Lodge, where you can enjoy a coffee before we proceed to Khao Yai National Park, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon arrival, we will kick off with a hiking expedition. As we venture through the park, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the unique local flora, and with some luck, spot wildlife such as elephants, gibbons, or deer. After around 2 to 3 hours, depending on the pace of the group, we will reach the Haew Suwat waterfall, the park's largest waterfall. If you're a fan of cinema, this stunning landscape may remind you of a key scene from the film The Beach.
Here, you’ll have approximately 30 minutes to enjoy lunch. There’s a cafeteria and a small eatery near the waterfall—it's up to you!
Once recharged, we will head to the Haew Narok waterfall, which stands out as one of the park’s most scenic spots. We'll take in the refreshing atmosphere of the waterfall and unwind before beginning our journey back.
Ultimately, we will return to Bangkok, concluding our 11-hour excursion at the MBK Shopping Centre.
Modifications to Itinerary
In the months of April and May, visits to the Haew Suwat and Haew Narok waterfalls are not possible due to the lack of water flow during the dry season.
Instead, following lunch, we will navigate a nature trail amid the twisting paths of the park, soaking in the stunning surroundings. Our hike will finish at the Nong Phak Chi Observation Tower, where you can ascend to the top for spectacular panoramic views of the landscape.
