Details of the Excursion
Acadia National Park stands out as one of the most stunning natural reserves in the United States. Nestled in the beautiful state of Maine, this area boasts a mix of beaches, cliffs, and verdant woodlands, making it an essential destination for visitors from Bar Harbor. At the scheduled time, we will meet you at your accommodation to embark on this remarkable journey.
This day trip accommodates small groups of a maximum of 7 participants, providing an escape from the city's hustle and an opportunity to delve into the untamed splendor of Acadia National Park, a haven that enchants everyone who walks its paths.
Upon our arrival, we will start exploring the coastal park, aiming to discover the most captivating viewpoints and significant landmarks in Acadia. Our initial stop will be at Sieur de Monts Spring, known for its serene ambiance. Within this area, numerous forest trails and gardens offer a sanctuary of calmness and tranquility. Here, we will visit the Abbe Museum, ideal for gaining insights into the indigenous heritage of the region as well as the unique characteristics of its flora and fauna.
Following that, we will proceed to Thunder Hole, a prominent highlight of the park. Witness how the Atlantic Ocean's waves crash into this narrow inlet, producing a spectacular roar. Even during calm days, the gentle foam of the water creates a peaceful backdrop, making every moment spent at Thunder Hole worthwhile!
Our journey will continue as we visit Otter Cliff, a striking formation of granite cliffs that soar 30 m (98 ft) above sea level along Park Loop Road. Imagine the breathtaking sight of the forests spread out before you! Be sure to have your camera ready, as the sweeping vistas of the ocean and treetops are nothing short of extraordinary.
Just around the corner, we will arrive at Jordan Pond, a stunning glacial lake with crystal-clear waters that might just become your favorite spot in Acadia National Park. Here, beside the pristine shores of the pond, we'll take a break to savor a traditional lobster roll for lunch.
After recharging, we will head back to our starting point and return you to your hotel, completing a fulfilling 4-hour adventure.
