Minor White (Minneapolis, 1908–1976) was a pivotal figure in 20th-century American photography, notable for his groundbreaking work and his contributions as an educator and co-founder of Aperture magazine. He crafted a distinctive photographic style that was sequence-oriented and unparalleled in photography's narrative history. This exhibit, the first retrospective of his work in Europe, provides an extensive look at his creations encompassing various genres such as portraiture, landscape, and nude, featuring previously unpublished materials that illuminate both the technical prowess and the poetic essence of an artist who positioned photography at the heart of modern art discussions.
Joaquín Tusquets de Cabirol: Eloquent Form (June 17 to September 6, 2026)
Joaquín Tusquets de Cabirol (Barcelona, 1904–1979) was a chemist turned photographer, recognized for his profound insight and artistic sensibility forged in a culturally rich family setting. This exhibition, curated by the Fundación MAPFRE in collaboration with Fundación Photographic Social Vision, offers a rare perspective on post-war Catalonia through prints characterized by exceptional technical quality.
