The Best Introduction to Gaudí and Modernism in Barcelona
The tour begins at the designated time in Plaza Cataluña, in the heart of Barcelona. Once gathered, participants will embark on a 2-hour walking tour of Gaudí's best works in Barcelona.
The exploration takes us to the epicentre of modernist Barcelona, starting at the Manzana de la Discordia, where the majority of Gaudí's most famous works are located. Attendees will admire the splendour of Casa Batlló, known as the famous house of bones, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005.
Continuing along the Paseo de Gracia, more of Gaudí's creations and other modernist buildings will be visible. From the natural forms of La Pedrera to the elegance of Casa Lleó Morera with its lavish sculptures, and the Casa Amatller featuring its peculiar animals, participants will surely be amazed.
After appreciating the variety of modernist architecture at the Paseo de Gracia, the tour will proceed by metro to the iconic symbol of Barcelona—the renowned Sagrada Família. Standing before this architectural masterpiece, everyone will marvel at Gaudí's supreme expression of modernism.
The tour concludes after a total of 2 and a half hours, right in front of the Sagrada Familia.
