While in Barcelona, make sure to discover two of Catalonia's most remarkable sites on this excursion to Montserrat and Girona. This journey includes a visit to the renowned monastery of the Virgin of Montserrat and an exploration of the stunning Costa Brava.

Details of the Excursion

We'll convene at Carrer de Martí i Franquès, 21 at the designated time and set off from Barcelona for an unforgettable adventure.

A comfortable bus will transport us directly to Montserrat, home to the most emblematic peak in Catalonia and one of Spain's notable monasteries. Upon arrival, a guided tour will enable us to delve into its fascinating history and myths. It is rumored that this is the site where the Holy Grail is hidden.

During our visit to Montserrat Abbey, we will explore various areas of the complex, view the shrine of the Virgin of Montserrat, and uncover intriguing stories linked to the Nazis and Napoleon's forces associated with this location.

Next, we'll board the minibus for our journey to Girona. Once there, we'll embark on a tour of this delightful city, known for its rich tapestry of Roman, Arab, and Jewish history.

We will stroll through the medieval streets and visit prominent sites, including the Santa María Cathedral, the Old Fisheries Bridge designed by Gustav Eiffel, and the Jewish Quarter.

After our exploration of Girona, you will have an hour of free time to enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants in the center. Following this break, we will depart from the city and head along the Costa Brava. To take in the coastal beauty, we will make a stop in the picturesque town of Tossa de Mar, where we will enjoy a brief guided tour of its charming historic center.

In total, after approximately 11.5 hours, we'll return to Barcelona, concluding our journey at Avenida Diagonal.
