Poble Espanyol Tickets
Description
Experience the charm of a unique open-air museum in Barcelona known as the Poble Espanyol, where the essence of Spain's most enchanting towns converges in a singular location.
Ticket Information
Your entry to the Poble Espanyol—translated as "Spanish Town" in Catalan—offers access to an extraordinary adventure within Barcelona. You are invited to immerse yourself in a captivating exploration of Spain’s distinct regions all gathered in one place. Spanning over 520,000 square feet (around 40,000 square meters), this outdoor museum features a remarkable collection of Spanish architectural styles with 117 structures on display.
Wander through the pathways and set off on an enriching cultural and geographical expedition. You will encounter a charming Andalusian neighborhood characterized by its whitewashed streets, view a precise replica of the scenic Plaza Mayor in Riaza, and be inspired by the impressive forms of a Catalan Romanesque monastery alongside the striking Mudejar tower from Utebo. This venue also celebrates significant heritage locations like the Camino de Santiago, showcasing architecture reminiscent of Galicia and northern Spain. Therefore, a true exploration of some of Spain’s hidden gems awaits your discovery.
Adding to the experience, numerous multimedia installations provide insights into Spanish culture, cuisine, and traditions across various communities. Your ticket additionally grants you entrance to the Fran Daurel Contemporary Art Museum, home to an extensive collection of works by acclaimed Spanish artists such as Picasso, Miró, Dalí, Chillida, and Barceló.
Moreover, the museum hosts over 20 craft workshops, allowing you to observe artisans as they engage in their crafts, including jewelry-making, leatherworking, instrument crafting, glassblowing, engraving, and textile arts.
Established for the 1929 International Exposition, the open-air museum is perched atop Montjuïc hill in the heart of Barcelona, a stone's throw from the renowned Magic Fountains. Thus, in addition to the exhibits, a visit offers stunning panoramic views of the city, whether during the day, evening, or night—what a sight to behold!
Additionally, you will get to explore the site’s genesis through the exhibition A Photographic Journey: The construction of Poble Espanyol. This display allows you to delve into the vision of the creators and the fascinating process behind this ambitious project.
