Night Hike Overview

Our adventure begins as we pick you up at your hotel in Bariloche at the specified time. We will leave the bustling city and embark on a scenic drive through the breathtaking forests of the Argentine Patagonia. Let's set off!

After traveling approximately 12.42 miles (20 kilometers), we will arrive at the entry point of the Chalhuaco Valley trail, a tranquil natural setting perfect for nighttime exploration.

Equipped with flashlights, we will set out on a hike through this beautiful lenga beech forest. The beams from our flashlights will cast intriguing shadows on the sturdy tree trunks and gnarled roots, creating a captivating atmosphere right from the start.

For the next 30 minutes, we will move at a relaxed pace, allowing time to absorb the nocturnal sounds of the forest. With a bit of luck, we may even hear the calls of nighttime birds. As we wander further, we will share insights about the local flora and fauna found in the Chalhuaco area, fostering a deep connection with nature in this serene environment.

Upon completing our hike, we will return to the starting point, where a delightful dinner at a mountain lodge awaits. The meal will commence with a warm pumpkin soup, ideal for rejuvenation. Following that, you will have the option to select one of two traditional Patagonian dishes: a Creole-style steak served with potatoes and vegetables, or a comforting lentil stew. To conclude the dining experience, a delectable tiramisu will be served for dessert.

After roughly 4.5 hours of exploration and enjoyment, we will conclude our adventure and bid you farewell at your hotel.
