During this excursion, participants will explore the renowned Circuito Chico of Bariloche and the quaint Colonia Suiza. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of Patagonia while indulging in the local culinary delights.

Tour Overview

Did you know that Circuito Chico is the most celebrated scenic route in Bariloche? Gather at our designated meeting point at San Martín 398, and once everyone is on board, we will embark on a journey to uncover the stunning vistas of the Argentine Patagonia.

Our journey begins along Avenida Exequiel Bustillo, as we trace the perimeter of Nahuel Huapi Lake. We’ll pass through the charming Melipal neighborhood, known for its traditional pioneer homes, vibrant summer gardens, and picturesque landscapes dotted with yellow brooms and lush berry fields. A truly enchanting scene!

After approximately 4.97 miles (8 kilometers), we'll stop at Playa Bonita, offering a glimpse of the historical Huemul Island, where secret laboratories for a past nuclear project were once established. Next, we’ll continue towards Cerro Campanario, where a chairlift ride will provide breathtaking views of the surrounding lakes, mountains, and lush native forests.

Our next destination will be the Llao Llao Peninsula, including a visit to Puerto Pañuelo. Here, you’ll find the San Eduardo Parish and the well-known Llao Llao Hotel, beautifully nestled within the expansive golf fields. We’ll also take a moment to hike through the serene Llao Llao Municipal Park, amidst ancient coihue trees.

After our exploration of the park, we will head back to the vehicle, taking in the sights of Villa Tacul and Escondido Lake as we approach one of the highlights of the tour: the Panoramic Point of Circuito Chico. This stunning viewpoint provides idyllic views of the snow-capped mountains that encircle the region's lakes—a sight not to be missed!

Next, we’ll stroll along the shores of the Argentino Lake until we reach the trail leading to Colonia Suiza. Upon arrival, you'll have the opportunity to discover this charming town, originally established by Swiss immigrants.

In Colonia Suiza, admire traditional period architecture, browse through a craft fair, and delight in the renowned curanto, a delicious dish prepared underground with various meats using hot stones sourced from the lake. Witness the captivating "destape" ceremony, where the coverings of the dishes are unveiled, allowing you to savor this smoked delicacy at your leisure. It's an experience you won't want to miss!

After spending 2 hours exploring Colonia Suiza, we will begin our return journey to Bariloche, concluding the tour at the meeting point after approximately 8 hours.
