Colonia Suiza & Villa Los Coihues Bike Tour
Description
Join us on a cycling expedition around Colonia Suiza and Villa Los Coihues, where we'll navigate through the most picturesque landscapes and charming villages, alongside the Casa de Piedra River.
Activity Overview
This experience is tailor-made for cycling enthusiasts! Our journey kicks off at the appointed time at the Indómito Hostel, located by the Gutiérrez Lake. After gathering together, you'll receive your bikes and helmets, and we will review the planned route.
We’ll set off on our bikes, traversing the paths of Villa Los Coihues as we make our way towards the San Martin Hill. Circumventing this hill, we will ascend the road in pursuit of Villa Catedral, crossing this segment to follow the trail leading to the Casa de Piedra River.
At this location, we’ll pause for our first break, where you can savor a warm mate accompanied by delightful sweet pastries known as facturas. Curious about their flavor? You’re in for a treat!
Our cycling adventure continues along the river until we reach the serene Viento Beach, a site characterized by its tranquil setting and stunning views of the Argentinean Patagonia. We will ride along the historic road that leads to Colonia Suiza, hugging the shores of Perito Moreno Lake, framed by the surrounding snow-capped mountains. Ready to capture those memories?
As we arrive at the heart of Colonia Suiza, which was established in the 19th century by Swiss and German settlers, you'll have some free time to wander the town. Explore the Sunday market and indulge in local delicacies. Have you tried the iconic curanto de Bariloche? Here’s your chance to taste this exquisite dish featuring meat and vegetables cooked on heated stones.
We’ll conclude our journey in the center of Colonia Suiza after enjoying a total of 4 hours together.
